It's World MS Day and mostly I want to complain ab

It's World MS Day and mostly I want to complain about how tired I am, because my attitude has been pessimistic lately. I got really sick with the common cold last week and I'm sure it hit me harder just because of my suppressed immune system. It felt bleak, and I wasn't sure how I'd ever be able get on an airplane from England to get home.

A couple dull days in my hotel room passed, and I made it through a 16 hour travel day, and I am on the other side of it. It sucked but I'm still standing.

MS may slow me down a lot of the time, but it doesn't get to hold me back. Give me a little bit of space from this latest travel experience and you can bet I'll be back to planning my next worldly adventure.

I also have to remember everything else my body made it through in the last two weeks: climbing the 246 steps of the National Wallace Monument; climbing the equivalent of another 28 flights of stairs two days after that; walking almost 20k steps between 8am and 11pm in one day; hiking to the edge of Scotland to experience Dunnotar castle ruins and see my first puffin in the wild; taking myself on a solo (driving!) field trip - and successfully keeping to the other side of the road; touring castles that kings and queens of English history have built and destroyed and rebuilt; an afternoon walking amongst the giants of Stonehenge. All incredible. I can't pick my favorite experience.

And I'll have to change my attitude and give London another chance to impress me sometime.

My last little wrap up of the 2024 #MNYarnShopHop. It was a quieter hop this year for many reasons but, really, the best part of it is the quality time I get to spend with some of my favorite people.

All the yarns are always fun to squish, too, of course!

I got to show off my latest finished object at @Ro

I got to show off my latest finished object at @RoseYarnCo this morning: the #VBackTee from @knitosophy, made with @ruby_and_roses_yarn!

The construction on this top was a bit wild! I wrote a lot of notes for myself throughout but I did really enjoy the process. The way the color changes happened was unique, too. I like how the colors all played together!

When I found the yarn, it was instant love. There wasn't quite enough of any one colorway to make a single top, so I decided to get one of each of my favorites — and this pattern is the perfect way to showcase the bright, fun colors!
