I still post all of my photos on Flickr, but I feel like no one sees them because I forget to share that I’ve posted. But some fun stuff has been happening! So here are a lot of photos:
I won Twins tickets through a vendor at my company — awesome seats in the Legends Club!
We had two or three nice days of early Summer weather in Minnesota, and I got some yard work done — including adding a second garden plot!
Carrots, onions, spinach, beets and green beans are all sprouting from seeds I planted just before Memorial Day! Now if it would just warm up around here, maybe my tomatoes and cucumber plants would grow a bit, too.
Annual photoshoot for the Prairie Fire Lady Choir! It was also a sort of season kick-off for us.
Not too long after our photoshoot, we had our first engagement of the season — singing a David Bowie tune at First Avenue for Rock for Pussy, a benefit for Feline Rescue. Lots of glitter, sequins, and make-up.
It took me at least four hair washings to get all of the product out of my hair.
It was the first time I was sharing a stage with my friend, Orion.
(That’s Prince in the photo behind us!)
I met one of the guys who wrote the theme song to Friends, and all of the beers I drank made it necessary for me to tell him about 15 times that I watch Friends while I’m on my elliptical every morning. I REALLY DO. Then I told him he should hire our choir for something.
Painting! Here are the before photos:
In progress (aka junk everywhere):
And here’s a finished photo of our accent wall, at least. I’ve either forgotten to photograph everything else or I have photos on my dSLR that I’ve forgotten about. I’m forgetful.
I took a week off from work for a staycation, so I finally had a chance to visit the Robbinsdale Historical Society. It was smaller than I expected, but there were quite a few Robbinsdale lifers that wanted to tell me about everything they had, which was great!
A real mink stole that gave me the heebie-jeebies. There was also a silver fox stole. Little legs and all!
I was told they are looking for someone to help catalog and archive everything digitally. I can’t even imagine what kind of time that job would take, there are so many photos and memorabilia in this room!
Last night (this morning?) was Northern Spark. Jason and I saw a 7′ foot tall black dog, ghosts of St. Paul, and even had a private session with a medium before seeing the Prairie Fire Lady Choir sing inside of the Union Depot. Oh, and a house was lit on fire at 2am.
What does it mean?!
Anyway. You should probably follow my Twitter for Project 365 posts, my Instagram for all the random photos I take, and my Flickr. Everything gets posted to Flickr.
