Someone thought that I needed a big reset in 2022. Someone thought that I needed a big reset in 2022. Lots of relearning how to nourish myself, both through food and self care. Lots of looking inward, lots of figuring out how to rest this weary body. But also how to keep making this body work for me in moments of joy: paddle boarding, a beautiful wedding in my family, "my" birds, quality time with family and friends, and big travel with my lovely husband. Honestly it was hard to wrap this year up with only 9 photos but I don't know how to make a collage of 12 . 🤷‍♀️

Cheers to looking forward in 2023!
What I'm currently knitting: I'm further along tha What I'm currently knitting: I'm further along than this recent photo, but I'm slowly working through the fourth clue of the #TwistsAndTurnsMKAL even though the M of the KAL is long over. I'm going to finish this before Christmas, dangit! #WestKnitsMKAL2022

What I'd rather be knitting: I started the #FisherquineJumper after I had finished another project but before the MKAL started. I had antsy cast-on-itis! And I had discovered some yarn I had forgotten about in my stash so I assumed it was a sign to make that beautiful pattern.

What's keeping me motivated so I can cast on another new sweater: I followed @explorerknits Ireland collection basically all year and finally ordered enough for two sweaters that I hope I can someday wear in Ireland. I need to knit faster! Hopefully my 2020 plans for Ireland can finally happen in 2023. 🤞🏼 #ExplorerKnitsIrelandCollection #EKFIreland
I don't think I've put a Christmas tree up since 2 I don't think I've put a Christmas tree up since 2018?! It got complicated with feline accessories and space but today I was just sitting here thinking, "dang it I'm ready for some freaking joy." So I moved some feline furniture and made a spot for joy. And I used almost every single ornament I could find in this house. 😄

[image description: a small fake Christmas tree, decorated with lights and ornaments in a darkened room. Of course my vacuum cleaner is in the corner on the other side of the wall.]
