yesterday i went to the cat show with a couple friends, wilkerbooty and tracee, and…
hannie! it was my niece’s first time at the cat show.
she was not shy about asking people for toys to play with their cats.
she humored me as we sat in the front row of a judging station. “when does the show start?” she asked.
“the show is all around us, hannie!”
this little kitty was named best in show or something else really impressive.
we found wilkerbooty and tracee at another judging station and compared our re-entrance paw prints.
then we played with more kitties!
we took a short break for some popcorn (for her) and a soda (for me), so i decided we should take a photo together, too.
we found wilkerbooty oohing over a cute burmese kitten. for sale! only $500. “probably under-priced,” the seller said.
we decided to settle in for one more judging show, all persians — or, as hannie was calling them, “grumpy cats.”
then it was time to head home. clearly.
this year i brought home a crocheted catnip carrot for the kitties. sio also got a toy with a lot of sparkly, shiny strings and rustling-noises but i didn’t snap a photo.
i was a little bummed that there is no coat check at the cat show. i didn’t get to show off my new favorite cardigan!
maybe next year!
