On New Year’s Eve I helped at “Bash at the Bell: New Scores for New Year’s.” It was pretty fun — and packed! Two silent films both with new, original scores written by two different local bands. Funky music to dance to. An open bar (though I wasn’t drinking alcoholic beverages that evening)! And around midnight, Search & Rescue archive footage.

Kristi came along and volunteered to help, too. We stayed until about 1:30am to help a little with clean up and then we were exhausted and went home to pass out. In the morning we went to the Spring Street Grille for breakfast.

The rest of the day was pretty lazy. I ran to see the cats and took some photos of Janet’s decorations. Is it rude to take photos of someone else’s house without their permission? But if she’s letting me stay there anyway, don’t I sort of have permission? It’s a tricky situation, but this one is cute:
