sunday isn’t usually the best day of the weekend, but since i’m getting sick of winter and yesterday’s temperature was not freezing, i went outside a few times.
brunch at republic with kristi. it was delicious! they have a bloody mary bar with pepperoni, salami, two kinds of cheese, peppers, pearl onions, bacon, asparagus, pickles, and plenty of spice additions. really decent. i may have had two bloody marys in addition to a plate of huevos rancheros and then had to roll myself home.
i was stuffed all. day.
maybe i took a nearly two-hour nap with the cats. what of it?
jason and i went out in the evening for cheap date night — light appetizers at keiran’s and a free show at the cowles center for dance.
jason brought me to see buckets and tap shoes at the fringe festival a couple years ago and it was super fun. i left wanting to learn how to tap dance. last night was no different! except i wanted to learn how to pop-n-lock, dance ballet, and do the hand jive also.
i used to pass by this building a lot when i would bus through downtown and it was empty for the longest time. it was fun to go inside and to learn some history about it — during intermission we watched a time lapse video of when it was moved in ’99 (then called the schubert theatre).
