went to sioux falls this weekend to celebrate hannie’s fourth birthday with family. fourth birthday. where has the time gone?
jason and i had a little time to be tourists, so before the birthday party we had lunch at the phillips avenue diner and wandered around downtown a little bit. then we joined everyone at the hotel.
“is this four? okay, how about this — is this four?” hannie wasn’t so sure about jason’s second version of “four” but she counted and made sure.
really yummy cake!
later in the evening, jason and i decided to go check out the sioux falls stampede. it was kind of a sad hockey game, but we still had fun. maybe it was just an off night for the team?
i wasn’t sure which color team we were supposed to be rooting for, so i found some excellent people-watching in the crowds.
this blimp was dropping free tickets! i wanted to win, even though i would’ve had to give the tickets away. i love to win! it doesn’t happen very often.
TOURISTS.
this guy kept avoiding us.
the next morning brought easter brunch at my aunt’s house. and an egg hunt for hannie!
quite a haul! and she even shared some of the goodies.
thank goodness for that little girl.
