i remember being tortured on summer days in my youth when my parents would tell me to go pick beans from the garden. of course, dad’s garden is much larger than my little experiment, but i couldn’t help remembering those days. as an adult, i guess i’ve come a long way, ‘eh?
i think i need to cut back on something next year. tomatoes? cucumbers? i want more room for peppers in there somewhere. i could move my tiny strawberry plants into a new space… but where to put a second little plot for a fruity garden?
i’ve picked three pickling cucumbers and a handful of beans. i’m impatient for the tomatoes to ripen, and really looking forward to some lovely full-size cucumbers — maybe splash on some olive oil and balsamic vinegar = insta-yum garden salad!
