Janet is from New Zealand and I have taken to cat-/house-sitting for her when she goes on vacations. She is in Canada as of yesterday, so I spent the evening at her house with her kitties, Dot and Harley. We watched the premiere of “So You Think You Can Dance” and I don’t think the kitties cared much, they were mostly just interested in covering me with fur, but we had a good time.
Then I watched CSI: NY which is silly, I know, because nothing is (usually) as good as the original, but Gary Sinise is dangerously cool and he impresses me so hard.
I promptly went to sleep at 10:30pm as I had not had my afternoon nap. It took me forever to fall asleep because my mind was racing with thoughts of people to see (or at least obsess about) and places to go and things to do and pictures to take. At some point I must have relaxed because then Harley started waking me up. That cat is always hungry or needing love! I’m happy that he likes me and no longer runs into the basement when I approach him, but c’mon. He persisted and I finally got up at 6:30am-ish to feed him and get the day done.
It’s going to be a long day. 9 hours at work today in order to leave early tomorrow. I’m going to Ikea later with the Rusches. That should be an adventure.
My parents, brother and his girlfriend are coming to Minneapolis this weekend for CariFest 2005. I’ll be doing some juggling with South Minneapolis, Nordeast and Uptownish, I suppose. It’s all good.
It’s been too long since I’ve posted new pictures! Oi.
