On Friday I put on my bright red heels and headed out to Memory Lanes to bowl, drink beer, and listen to Plastic Chord and It From Bit. A very good time was had except I was disappointed by the ridiculous price of the bowling. I paid $24 for three people to bowl one game and rent shoes. Lame. Kristi bought my beers in exchange.

The bands were good, though. And the company was awesome. Jason and I danced in a city that refuses to dance! Dancing is so good. Also I took a lot of photos and unfortunately they looked better on my camera than they do on my computer, but you’ll get the idea. We were young and wild, my friends.

After the music was done and all of the equipment had been packed, Rebecca, Serg and I went to the Sound Gallery – which is a loft where Jacob from It From Bit lives, records and has crazy fun parties. There was a cat, a keg, and roof access. We watched the sun rise. There was drama. There was a guitar with turf.

Around 7am, Rebecca, Luke and I went to Al’s Breakfast and pondered our existence. I was so tired, but my Blueberry and Walnut Waffles were the best (as good as the Southern Pecan Waffles at Mickey’s? Possible). Next time I must remember to get just the short stack.

After I arrived home and put myself to bed on Saturday morning, I only left my house two more times during the weekend. It was just too hot and, really, what would I have done with myself anyway? I watched some movies from Netflix and tried to motivate myself to clean the apartment.

Exciting news is that my new computer is in Minneapolis this morning! With my new little laptop (which I will probably name Betty – my iPod is Veronica), I look forward to hanging out at the Espresso Royale Caffe and being artistic. Or at least reading email on a Saturday.

Sad news is that Jinkies Pierre passed away yesterday. The death of a pet is never fun, but this one was so unexpected. I left work early to go to Karyn’s house and see him. We drank champagne and toasted to our homie. I cried for hours last night and felt a little silly, but he was such a lover. Except when he was naughty.

I miss him already.
